i can’t even count how many times i’ve watched this scene- it’s such a real look at someone lost in obsession in the journey to perfection and as terrible as it is it’s also so satisfying. the point in my opinion is that you know he’s at his lowest point but simultaneously at his peak and it’s both disturbing and yet almost motivational and incredulous to watch. i just think of myself sweating and making my fingers bleed trying to get one guitar riff right for a video, or when i’m looking at a painting i’ve been working on for five hours with no breaks. disturbing and prideful. probably one of my favorite film scenes.

I wish I knew this song before the GTA 6 Trailer...

When I need to watch a film to give me some fire in the belly, this is on the shortlist. This film can be interpreted however you want it to be (bad guy, good guy, etc) but what I take from this film is that do not be afraid to try and be the absolute best and greatest at your thing even if it's only going to be for 10 minutes of your life - in that 10 minutes do whatever it is you're doing as if it's the last 10 minutes you got on earth - and don't fear whatever is to come in the 11th minute onwards. Hence why the film ends after the solo, at it's pinnacle.

Andrew finally puts everything he had into his music, and Fletchers nods out of respect and pride at him.
